Kosovo Prime Minister acting Ramush Haradinaj and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci have appointed KIA leader Kreshnik Gashi, while Burim Ramadani will hold the position of General Inspector at the KIA, reports KosovoPress.
Earlier today Haradinaj wrote: “Based on the constitutional and legal powers and in coordination with the President, today I have appointed, Kreshnik Gashi, as The Director of Kosovo Intelligence Agency, while Burim Ramadani as The KIA General Inspector. The newly appointees, are public figures with integrity and security experts, and they will guarantee the professionalism and credibility of the KIA.
The news of the appointments of Gashi and Ramadan has been announced also by the office of the President of Kosovo.
“The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, have appointed new Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA), Kreshnik Gashi, and KIA General Inspector, Burim Ramadani. This decision has been taken based on Article 84, paragraph 21, based on Article 94, paragraph 8, of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo ”, reads the Presidency notice.
Albin Kurti, the winner of the elections in October, has informed the acting Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, that the new head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency will be appointed by the new Government. /KosovoPress/
